About my approach
There are 3 basic parts to my therapy and coaching method.
The first part is about helping you identify and let go of emotion or negative beliefs that are keeping you stuck in a cycle of ill health or distress.
The second is about helping you recognise your power, creativity and true nature in the present moment.
The third is about helping you create whatever you want in your life by living in tune with the rhythms of that power and creative energy (however you want to label it).
I draw on methods taken from traditional psychotherapy (CBT, gestalt), as well as keeping abreast of new developments, which although are often a modern spin on ancient wisdom are still useful and empowering. I’ve taken many of these approaches and evolved them into my own practice based on what I find actually works in real life.
Finally, I try to practice what I preach. There is an analogy that goes like this: when you place a log that’s just been lit next to a fire that’s burning bright, and after a while you take the log away, it burns with an increased intensity. It’s said that the job of a therapist or spiritual mentor is to be the fire and to that end I endeavour to keep the light of my own awareness burning bright!
