Understanding jealousy

To really get to the root of the jealousy problem, the starting point is building up self esteem; dealing with negative unconscious beliefs and creating new, more empowering beliefs about the self. For example, someone who experiences extreme jealousy might have a root belief that says 'I am unloveable' or 'my partner will eventually leave me for someone else', or something very similar. That root belief is likely to have been created from some earlier childhood experience. When the emotional energy of that experience is released and a new belief is created like, 'I am really loveable', or 'I am a fantastic partner', a greater feeling of confidence can begin to be experienced. Changing unconscious beliefs then is the best way to deal with relationship jealousy.

Another important factor is not to focus solely on the problem but on creating the solution as well. You can probably feel the difference in the energy of the questions when, instead of asking how to deal with relationship jealousy, you ask 'how do we create a really fantastic relationship? How do we create trust and respect? How do we create confidence and the freedom to express who we really are?' This is important because as with any problem, knowing where you are trying to go is essential to a positive outcome.
